Elderly Drive into Restaurant, Six Injured
Posted By Los Angeles Auto Accident Lawyer

At the La Mirada restaurant Cabo Taco Baja Grill, an 87-year-old woman drove her car over the sidewalk and into diners during lunchtime. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reports that the woman inadvertently put the car into drive instead of reverse and also hit the gas instead of the brake. Five people were treated for minor injuries, including the driver, while one was in more serious condition. One man was directly hit by the vehicle and ended up under the driver’s door unable to move. He was eventually taken to UC Irvine Medical Center and treated for serious medical injuries.
Car accident events like this are more common than most realize. Injuries sustained from Los Angeles auto accidents can often be quite serious when people are being directly hit by a vehicle. In cases like this, it’s crucial to seek medical attention for any possible internal and external injuries. If you have been injured in a car accident, you should reach out to our Los Angeles auto accident attorneys at (800) 715-4489 for help in receiving compensation for injuries and damages.

Car Accident Leaves Pedestrian in Critical Condition
Posted By Los Angeles Auto Accident Lawyer
|
On Sunday, a vehicle hit a pedestrian near Cal State Long Beach putting the pedestrian in critical, but stable condition, according to the Long Beach Press-Telegram. The Long Beach Police Department has stated that the pedestrian was crossing against a red light at the time at the corner of Seventh Street and West Campus Road. The driver did stop after the accident and will most likely not be facing any charges based on police investigations and witness statements.
Many times in auto accidents involving pedestrians, the driver of the vehicle has been negligent and the cause of the accident. You should be aware that if you are involved in a Los Angeles car accident and injured due to another's negligence that you can act on this and receive compensation for your injuries. At the time of an accident, it's important to seek medical attention for any possible injuries and to contact the Los Angeles Police Department to report the accident.
